It was a young couple, and the man hit it.

That man acted like, ‘It’ll come off if you rub it,’ but it was totally impossible.

As the victim, I told him, ‘I’ll be claiming the repair costs, so please give me your contact info,’ and he said, ‘I’ll call the police.’

I replied, ‘No problem at all, go ahead,’ and then he said, ‘Actually, I won’t call the police, so please just settle it between us. Please.’

I wondered what that exchange was about, but we settled it.

In the end, it seems he decided to pay the repair costs and the replacement car costs himself without using insurance, which amounted to about 1.5 million yen in total.
