運送会社と金融機関の条件変更

いつも大変お世話になっている金融機関様との

情報共有の場において、運送業界の話題になり

ありのままの現状を教えていただきました。

かなり多くの運送会社が厳しい経営環境におかれ、

資金繰りに窮しているとのこと。

そこでの対応策として融資条件の変更を希望する会社が

想定以上に増えているようです。

金融機関様が仰っていた内容ですが、

仕事がなくなり社員の稼働が減り、給料が減るから

社員が辞める、社員がいないから空いている車両を

売却する会社が実際にあるようです。

金融機関様目線は、かなり苦しいから動かない車両を

売却して、なんとか時間を稼ぐ対応に見えるそうです。

事実、車両不足といわれる今でも社員不足に悩み、

10台以上の車両を売却した運送会社もあるんですと

教えてくださいました。

私の考えとしては、納車後5年以上経過した車両を売る

運送会社だということで、最初から計算しているから

売却益が出るためプラスに影響するはずだと考えますが

皆さんはいかがでしょうか。

During a recent information-sharing session with a financial institution that has long supported us, the conversation turned to the state of the trucking industry, and they gave me a candid picture of the current reality.

It seems that a significant number of trucking companies are facing a harsh business environment and are struggling with cash flow.

As a result, there has been a greater-than-expected rise in the number of companies seeking to renegotiate their loan terms.

According to the financial institution, a vicious cycle is playing out: a lack of work leads to reduced employee hours and lower wages, causing staff to quit; with a shortage of personnel, companies are then forced to sell off idle vehicles.

From the financial institution's perspective, this looks like a desperate measure to buy time—selling off unused trucks because the financial situation is so dire.

They even shared a specific example of a company that, despite the industry-wide talk of vehicle shortages, was so plagued by a lack of drivers that it sold off more than ten trucks.

My own take on this is that since these companies are selling vehicles that have been in service for over five years—and likely factored this into their initial plans—the sale should generate a profit and actually have a positive impact on their finances. I wonder what the rest of you think.
